અઢી વરસનો ટેણીયો કે જે હજી સ્થિર ચાલતા પણ નહોતો શીખ્યો તે રેડિયોની સાથે

ગણગણતો અને તે પણ કોઇને પણ સાંભળવુ ગમે તેવી મધુર રીતે! કિશોરાવસ્થામાં એણે વાદ્ય અને શાસ્ત્રીય સંગીતની સાથે સાથે બોલિવુડની ધૂનોને માણવાની શરૂ કરી. દિવસો વીતતા તેની આ આદત ઘેલછા મટીને નવાંજૂનાં ગીતોના સંદર્ભો અને ખૂબીઓનો અભ્યાસ બની ગયા.
સંગીત એ એની સમગ્ર ચેતનાનો જ એક ભાગ છે. કોઈ પણ સ્વર-રચનાને એ જાણે શિલ્પ ની જેમ પ્રત્યક્ષ જુએ છે! એટલું જ નહીં રચના સાંભળ્યા પછી તેના વિવિધ પાસાઓનું ઝીણવટપૂર્વક વિશ્લેષણ કરી શકે છે. એમાં કહેવાયેલી વાત એ હૃદયથી ઝીલે છે અને એનો આસ્વાદ કરે તથા કરાવે છે. કોઈ ધૂનની મૂળ 'પ્રેરણા' નું પગેરું, ભલેને પછી તે પરદેશ સુધી પહોંચતું હોય, પણ તેને ખંતપૂર્વક શોધવું એ તેની એક અળવિતરી ખાસિયત છે.
સંગીત માટેનાં તેના આ અનુરાગે જ તેને આજની અને આવનારી પેઢીને ગમીજાય તેવા ગુજરાતીપણાની મહેક ધરાવતા આલ્બમનું સર્જન કરવાની પ્રેરણા આપી. પરાણે ગમી જાય તેવા આઠ ગીતોના આલ્બમમાં એણે જીંદગી ના જુદાંજુદાં મિજાજને આવરી લીધા છે.
ધ્વનિત - સહુનો લાડકો અને પ્રખ્યાત એફ.એમ. ચેનલનો બહુશ્રુત રેડિયો જોકી જે પોતે એક કટાર લેખક હોવા ઉપરાંત એક ફિલ્મ વિવેચક, કુશળ સંચાલક અને તીક્ષ્ણ હાસ્ય વૃત્તિ ધરાવતો વક્તા પણ છે. પોતાની અનુભૂતિને ક્યારેક અભિનય દ્વારા તો ક્યારેક કવિતામાં ઢાળતો ધ્વનિત આજની આ પળથી ગાયકીની કેડી નો મુસાફર બને છે.
